The pursuit of a foreign law degree led me to Canterbury, a city in the South East of England. One of the hardest challenges about living in England is the weather. The weather is so gloomy to the point I question whether it is punishment for God.
It therefore means I have to dress warmly to prevent myself from getting sick. Most of the times warm clothing is unflattering and the few fashionable jackets and coats from Zara and Topshop are ridiculously priced. Even during sales, it would still be a strain to a student’s budget.
Could you imagine my excitement when I came across a stall at Toi Market selling coats! I would be saving a whooping 70 pounds (9100 kshs)!
I felt like such a winner! Especially when I laid my hands on this Mocha Abercrombie & Fitch jacket. That is the beauty of thrift markets, you can easily lay your hand on some really sick designer garments at affordable prices (just don’t buy those fake Louis Vuitton bags).
I was pleased with the fit of the jacket and loved how the mocha compliments my skin!
How did I do?
A shot of the owner of the shop and I rocking some of the amazing jackets that he retails. Special thanks Sir for allowing us to shoot at your stall!
